Junior Support Engineer (Volunteer)

About the role

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our support team on a part-time basis. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity perfect for students, gaming enthusiasts, or anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in technical support and game server hosting. You'll help fellow gamers solve problems, learn industry-relevant skills, and be part of a community-driven team. Time Commitment - Part-time volunteer position (flexible hours) - Approximately 5–15 hours per week based on your availability - Flexible scheduling around your other commitments - Some weekend/evening availability preferred but not required Key Responsibilities - Respond to customer inquiries via ticket system and live chat - Help troubleshoot basic game server issues - Assist customers with control panel navigation and server setup - Learn and document solutions for common problems - Escalate complex issues to senior team members - Contribute to a positive community experience What You'll Gain - Hands-on experience in technical support - Knowledge of game server hosting infrastructure and technologies - Experience with professional ticketing systems and tools - Mentorship from experienced team members - Reference and recommendation for future opportunities - Recognition within the Skynode.pro community - Certificate of volunteer service upon successful completion

Requirements

Requirements - Passion for gaming and helping others - Basic familiarity with game servers (any game) - Good communication skills in English - Reliable internet connection - Willingness to learn and take feedback - Minimum age: 16 years old - Commitment to the volunteer role for at least 3 months Nice to Have - Previous experience playing on or managing game servers - Active in gaming communities (Discord, forums, etc.) - Basic technical troubleshooting skills - Customer service mindset
